DID YOU KNOW? Israel is the only country in the world that automatically prosecutes CHILDREN in military court! Since 2000, at least 8.000 Palestinian children have been arrested and prosecuted in an Israeli military detention system notorious for the systematic ill-treatment and torture of Palestinian children.

Several hours after their arrest, children arrive at an interrogation and detention center alone, sleep deprived and often scared. Interrogations include a variety of verbal abuse, threats and physical violence that ultimately result in a confession. Blindfolded, cuffed, no parents, no lawyers, no trial, no child’s rights, nothing.

This has to stop! As a member of the United Nations Israel must act in compliance with the United Nation Convention for the rights of a child as stated in the convention: Convention on the Rights of the Child Adopted and opened for signature, ratification and accession by General Assembly resolution 44/25 of 20 November 1989.

Please learn about 13 year old #AhmadManasrah’s story AND support us by signing our petitions on Change and Avaaz! We have reached 10, 274 signatures from around the world and have our campaign translated into French, German, Spanish, Arabic, and Italian!

Join us every Monday for our #FreeAhmadManasrah Social Media Storms 9PM Jerusalem time. Visit our Tweet Sheet here.

Please take a moment to watch this brutal video of 13 year old Admad, shot in the neck by Israeli Defense Forces, as he lay bleeding on the ground, while Zionist settlers chant “die you son of a whore, die.” Where is humanity!

Ahmad survived his wounds, and is now imprisoned in Israeli jails, awaiting trial for a crime that cannot be proven with any type of physical evidence. Watch this video of the Israeli police interrogation and psychological torture of 13 year old #AhmadManasrah.

As we see clear violations of international law, violations of the rights of the child, and injustices committed by Israeli authorities, we decided to launch a global campaign for Ahmad Manasrah’s freedom: Free Ahmad Manasrah Campaign.

The campaign’s objectives are to work for his immediate release without postponing trial, and Ahmad’s return to his family without condemnation.

THIS IS NOT MY PETITION THIS IS YOUR PETITION!!! PLEASE SHARE THIS IN EVERY GROUP ON EVERY PAGE ON TWITTER, FACEBOOK, EMAIL AND EVERY OTHER WAY OF GETTING THE WORD OUT!! WE THE PEOPLE CAN CREATE AN EPIDEMIC SO THE WORLD CAN NO LONGER IGNORE THE SUFFERING!! IF WE ALL ACT TODAY, TOMORROW AND EVERY DAY AFTER THEY CANNOT IGNORE US THE PEOPLE ANY LONGER!!!! 1. I really admire your bravery and appreciate your dedication to write about this topic. I am, unfortunately, not as informed as I should be about these issues but you are bringing them to light.

I am an African American woman who is well aware of the injustices happening in our country with so many of our youth being wrongfully accused of crimes and being shot and/or killed. During Thanksgiving break my family and I protested in downtown Dallas about the injustices of the police across the country. Your post opened my eyes to other specific cases across the world.

I signed both petitions! I was number 4,132 on the petition to stop Israel arresting and torturing the Palestinian children. I was number 7,262 on the petition to free Ahmad Manasrah. Thank you for this post and I will continue to check your blog for updates!

    1. Alex,

I’m happy that we can connect on the level that all humans are facing similar but different struggles. And that makes neither one of them less important than the other.

Not only do we connect as humans, but our struggle as minorities is intertwined.

Read this amazing statement from “Black Solidarity with Palestine” to see just how influential Palestine was in giving momentum to the Black Lives Matter campaign. I think you will find it incredibly interesting.

I’d also like to leave you with one more piece of information to chew on. Another connection you will find to police brutality, black lives, Palestinians, and Israel.

American police officers routinely travel to Israel to learn their military techniques. learn from one of the most repressive and dangerous State forces in the world today—the Israeli military and intelligence apparatus.

Remember the young black girl from Mckinney, Texas who was slammed to the ground by a police officer at a pool party? The officer who employed the technique was trained exclusively with tactics taught by the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF). Lethal techniques used on Palestinians every single day.

So in essence, our tax dollars are being spent on sending our police to train with the deadliest and most repressive and racist army in the world; who currently uses their tactics to employ apartheid, oppression and murder of Palestinians every day; to come back home as militarized police and employ those same murderous tactics on our civilians, who are already living in a racist country.

So now you see, our struggles are but layers of each other.
